M. Edward (Ted) Key practices insurance-related litigation and has appeared as counsel before all levels of courts in Ontario, handling matters through to appeal.
Ted specializes in the defence of motor vehicle tort claims, product liability, personal injury, municipal liability and first party property damage matters. As well, Ted is regularly asked by clients to provide coverage opinions in relation to automobile, homeowner, CGL, and professional liability policies.
After articling with a large Toronto firm, Ted practiced as a partner with prominent insurance defence litigation boutique in Toronto before joining Agro Zaffiro in March 2013.
Ted is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario), Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Hamilton Medical-Legal Society, and the Hamilton Lawyers’ Association. A guitar player and music lover, Ted organized ROKTOBERFEST in October 2014: a Hamilton-based charitable “Battle of the Bands” showcasing the talent of local lawyers while raising funds and awareness for a worthy cause.
Ted is a graduate of the University of Toronto (Hon. B.A. 1997, LL.B. 2000), and was called to the Bar in 2002.
