Kathryn attended McMaster University and Western Law School. She articled at Agro Zaffiro in 1987 and was called to the bar in 1989. She has been a partner since 1996.
For the first 10 years of her practice she practiced matrimonial law and defence personal injury law. Since that time her practice has been exclusively defence insurance.
She has authored papers and lectured frequently for the Hamilton Law Association, Hamilton Medical Legal Society.
She has tried cases at the Superior Court level as well as appeared in front of the Ontario Court of Appeal. She has tried cases in Unified Family Court.
She is a Past President of the Board of Directors for the John Howard Society; a current member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers, Canadian Bar Association of Ontario, the Advocates Society.
She has been a volunteer coach in her community.
