The Importance of Community
From its beginnings, Agro Zaffiro has maintained another great tradition - service to one's community.
John Agro was one of the founders of the Canadian Football League Players Association and was its counsel for many years. He also served as Hamilton Harbour Commissioner and Chairman of the Commission. He passed away in 1998.
Nicholas Zaffiro has also logged many hours in service of others. His work within the Italian community has been recognized by such awards as the Italian-Canadian Citizen of the Year and the Canadian Centennial Medal. He continues to serve the Hamilton community with pride.
Many of the firm's partners are active in all aspects of the community. This service reaches all spheres with our lawyers serving in leadership roles with St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation, Rotary Club, Hamilton Community Foundation, Burlington Community Foundation, Sons of Italy Hamilton (Charitable) Corporation, and St. Joseph's Villa Foundation.
We participate in a wide variety of professional associations, and for many years our members have taken a leading role in the Hamilton legal community as Directors of the Hamilton Law Association, the Hamilton Lawyers' Club and the Hamilton Medical-Legal Society.
Our firm has been based in Hamilton for over 60 years. We are proud to serve our community and will continue to remain involved in its growth. We are always happy to speak to Board Members and other charities with respect to future projects. Please contact any of our lawyers in that regard.
